Get
an objective reader's reaction to your work.
We critique short stories, and other fiction
manuscripts, evaluating the writing style and
more. We identify what we think are the strengths
and weaknesses and suggest ways to improve. We
indicate personal reactions to the story - for
example favorite and least favorite parts, and
whether we'd be likely to read it again.
We comment on:
• Characters (i.e. Do they have enough
depth, etc.)
• Pacing (i.e. Does the story move to slowly
or too qucikly)
• Plot development (i.e. Does it make sense?
Is it easy to follow?)
• Writing style (i.e. Grammar, wordiness,
etc.)
• Inconsistencies
• Organization (Logic, unity, structure,
transitions, summaries)
• And much more...
Note: The critique is not
intended as a sort of writing class, just an
honest opinion/analysis of your short story from
a reader's point of view.
