Put yourself in the spotlight with a great cover letter.
How you ask? Simple. Eliminate the clutter and focus on the most important stuff. Your sentences should be short and simple.
Below is an example of a bad cover letter:
"Pursuant to the job ad that you listed on whateverjobwebsiteyousawiton.com, I am hereby responding in the sincere hope that you will grant me the potential consideration of being interviewed for said stated employment..."
Does yours sound like this? If so you may need some help writing a cover letter.
If on the other hand you decide to try to write the letter on your own then think of what the recruiter wants to see and get rid of the excess clutter and pompous phrases in your cover letter. Read your cover letter out loud to yourself or someone else and see if it flows well. Write and write again until you get it right. Good luck!
