Tips
for job seekers attending career fairs:
- Bring multiple copies of your CV
- Know what type of job you are looking for
- Do your research on the employers that will be
at the fair. (A list of those attending can
usually be obtained from the fair's website /
marketing literature)
- Be organized and make a prioritized list of
which company reps you will try to meet
- Orient yourself to the facility and layout of
the job fair and map out where the employers are
that you would like to visit most
- Arrive early to avoid the masses of other job
seekers
- Decide beforehand what questions you wish to
ask the employers (i.e. salaries, prospects,
training, career development opportunities, etc)
- Be prepared to answer questions about yourself
